CMD 3-Piece Ring Valves

HIGH QUALITY TOOL STEEL

CMD valves are constructed of high quality H13 tool steel. This steel, while wear resistant, has an exceptional ability to absorb twisting and bending without fracturing.

NITRIDE CASE HARDENING

All CMD ring valves are first through hardened, and then nitride case hardened to provide high wear resistance.

STURDY DESIGN

Ring geometry is designed for high strength and low edge stress concentration to eliminate the possibility of cracking. The tapered front seat of the valve body and generous radii reduce stress concentrations making a strong valve body which is even more resistant to fracturing.

FREE FLOW DESIGN

CMD valves are designed to process heat sensitive polymers without excessive sheer to the material. All sharp edges and corners are rounded off, and the flow surfaces of the valve assembly are highly polished.

TUNED RESPONSE RINGS

Ring valves are offered in a variety of compressions (low, medium, or high) to specifically suit customer's molding needs.

PRECISION GROUND CHECK RING

Check rings are precision ground to assure proper tolerance with respect to the barrel.

SPECIAL MATERIALS AND COATINGS

In addition to our standard H13 valves, we also offer valves made of extremely wear resistant CPM 9V and S90V. These special steels, when heat treated, provide unparalleled wear resistance for glass filled and corrosive applications. CMD also offers an array of coatings, treatments, and special designs to suit your needs.

CMD maintains an extensive inventory of screw tip ring valves ready for immediate shipment for same day or next day delivery. CMD's modern manufacturing facilities permit rapid response to special requirements. We specialize in large valves, and valves for hard to find machines.
