CMD 5-piece ring valves are constructed of high quality H13 tool steel, providing exceptional wear resistance and the ability to absorb twisting and bending without fracturing.
NITRIDE CASE HARDENING
All CMD ring valves are first through hardened, and then nitride case hardened to provide high wear resistance and extended service life.
FIVE-PIECE ASSEMBLY
The five-piece design provides additional sealing surface area and is ideal for applications requiring maximum shutoff reliability. The additional components allow for individual replacement of worn parts, reducing overall maintenance costs.
STURDY DESIGN
Ring geometry is designed for high strength and low edge stress concentration to eliminate the possibility of cracking. The tapered front seat and generous radii reduce stress concentrations for a strong, fracture-resistant valve body.
FREE FLOW DESIGN
CMD valves are designed to process heat sensitive polymers without excessive sheer. All sharp edges and corners are rounded off, and the flow surfaces are highly polished.
TUNED RESPONSE RINGS
Ring valves are offered in a variety of compressions (low, medium, or high) to specifically suit customer's molding needs.
PRECISION GROUND RINGS
Check rings are precision ground to assure proper tolerance with respect to the barrel.
